Does anyone have an older two meter ham rig and need crystals?Maybe I can help. I have some of both transmit and receive 2 meter xtals. Most are in the 146 and 147 MHz band segments, with very, very few in the 145 MHz segment, and none in the 144 MHz segment. These are for ham rigs only, and not commercial rigs.These are all the small HC-25 xtals, like were used in most of the solid state 2 meter mobiles and HTs. Please e-mail the operating frequency you need. I have them listed by operating frequency and rig, and not by actual xtal frequency. Send the frequencies you need (transmit or receive), and the rig that you have, and I will see if I can help. I have cross references for the various rigs, so I will know what you need if you give the rig. Radioshack HTX-252:I won this radio new in the box at a local radio club meeting. It has the 136-174 mhz TX/RX mod and puts out 10 / 25 watts of power. I use to have one of these when I fisrt got into amateur radio and they are GREAT little mobile radios. They are VERY SMALL radios. It have 10 memory channels and comes with a DTMF microphone, origanal box and mounting brackets. I am looking to make around $85 for it.

I have a yaesu ft-101B that I would like to trade, it is a vintage radio, I just replaced the transmitting tubes, the only thing I don't have for it now is a microphone.I also have an IC-745 HF transciever. But it is very temperimental, sometimes it works other times it doesn't, it's previous owner didn't care for it much.Or I could go with the IC-745 and I have a IC-V8 Modified 2 M handheld that I would be willing to trade in place of the 101B, I would like to keep that if possible, the IC-V8 has a speaker/microphone head set for it, for easy hands free use.Also, if anyone wants to haggle over a good HF groundplane say a tri-bander, let me know and we will talk.I will throw in a working dummy load, cable, a low pass filter, and an SWR meter too if you are intersted.--Dave--Davevoyager_g@email.comgesshoku000@yahoo.com

Step 1: Set the TX freq on TX radio 1 and the RX freq. on RX radio 2.
Step 2: Turn VOX on radio 1
Step 3: Place the "RX radio 2" speaker on top of "TX radio 1" microphone.
Thats it!

Long range high audio repeater
Step 1: Set TX freq. on "TX radio 1" and RX freq. on "RX radio 2"
Step 2: Install interface cable between RX radio and TX radio.
Step 3: Install a base outdoor antenna on radio 1 and 2. Make sure antenna is at a high location!
Step 3: Turn on VOX on TX radio 1.

You now have a GMRS repeater. I opened my TX radio 1 GMRS radio and installed an AC 120V to 5 volt wall plug. Now my radio puts out 3 1/2 watts of power and has an antenna at 30 feet. I get about a 20 mile range. You may also want to install a voice recorder so the repeater will ID.

Hi All!I have a couple of items I would like to offer for trade. First is a Drake TR7 HF transceiver with matching PS7 power supply and SP7 speaker. Works perfectly. Has 8KHz AM and 500Hz CW filters installed. Works on all the HF ham bands and everything in between. Will trade for 6mtr rig, either all-mode or FM. If FM, must have CTCSS capability. NO XTAL CONTROLLED RIGS PLEASE.Next item is a two-for-one deal. I have a pair of Kenwood 2mtr mobile rigs. First is TM-231A. Backlight on display does not work, but numbers are perfectly readable. Comes with standard PTT mike (no touch-tone pad) with up/dwn buttons. I do not have a mobile mount for this radio. Other than the backlight problem, radio works perfectly. Second 2mtr rig is TM-241A. Backlight only lights up halfway, otherwise radio works perfectly. Comes with touch-tone mike and mobile mounting bracket. Either of these radios would be perfect for back-up rigs or dedicated packet rigs, or just good second (or third) radio for car, or elewhere in the house. Will trade BOTH for 440 mobile rig or HT.
